Some of Courtney Zito’s favourite things? – (Interview with Hollywood Girl Part II)
The Pigeon Project continues our interview with Courtney Zito from Hollywood Girl …..Asking about some of her favourite things
Question – what TV shows do you like to watch?
I am a TV junkie. But my favorite shows are always the ones that make me laugh out loud. I was a big fan of sitcoms like Friends & Will & Grace when they were on the air, also Entourage & Sex & City and you can see little pieces of all of those shows in Hollywood Girl.
The show’s log line is “If Friends, Entourage & Sex & the City had a baby, it would be a Hollywood Girl” Currently, I LOVE Modern Family, also SMASH (Because I grew up doing musical theatre and I Love all things Marilyn Monroe) Last Man Standing, and I love American Horror Story, Jessica Lang was brilliant in Season 1. Of course I like to wind down at night to shows like Family Guy, American Dad & Robot Chicken.
Question – What was the last book you read?
I just finished the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy, and I am about to start the Hunger Games. I had to see what all the “buzz” was about. I recently bought a Kindle Fire and I am hooked. I love having access to so many books with one touch. It has re-ignited my passion for reading. I’ve downloaded all of the classics like Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, The Importance of Being Earnest. I plan on reading at the beach all summer.
Question – what do you currently listen to on your iPod/iPhone?
My iPod if really eclectic. I have everything from Opera to Electronica and everything in between. Jazz, the standards, Rock, Rap, Alternative, Classical, you name the genre, it’s probably on there. Music is a huge part of my life. I’m also a singer and studied Opera growing up as well. Music relaxes me, moves me, motivates me, so there is always music playing as the soundtrack to my life.
Question: If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be and what would say to them?
This is a really tough question. Really tough, there are so many answers I could give. But since it’s relevant to what I am currently doing and the Entertainment Industry, I will answer with this.
I have always been intrigued and captivated by Marilyn Monroe.
I even named my character after her! Well her last name… I just always felt there was more to her then met the eye. I think people thought she was dumb, but in reality she was a savvy business woman, she knew exactly what she was doing. Unfortunately, she had a sad past that eventually caught up to her. I guess I would ask her if it was all worth it? Would she do it all over again knowing the tragic outcome she would face?
