Let me help you understand what is really going on with Stone, China and the discomfort of the rest of the world suffers over China’s rise. What bothers most Chinese are the vicious hypocrisy, self-righteousness, and self-claimed superiority persistently exhibited by Hollywood has-beens such as Sharon Stone and Richard Gere towards China and its citizens.

Sure, everyone is entitled to freedom of speech and thereby subjecting oneself to the danger of exposing his or her stupidity, ignorance, short-sightedness, deep-rooted bias, among other things. That is precisely what happened with Stone.

This phenomenon has been aptly summarized by Samuel Huntington in the following passages:

“The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion, but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact, non-Westerners never do.”

“Hypocrisy, double standards, and ‘but nots’ are the price of universalist pretensions. Democracy is promoted, but not if it brings Islamic fundamentalists to power; . . . human rights are an issue for China, but not with Saudi Arabia; aggression against oil-owning Kuwaitis is massively repulsed, but not against non-oil-owning Bosnians. And it’s been going on for too long. So, like Stone, try to get a perspective first before you open your mouth.

Of course, the rest of us still need to help the victims whether the suffering was because of bad karma or not.

To paraphrase Sharon Stone, all those pets that died and kids that were poisoned, that’s just Karma working. Yeah, you go ahead stand up for that.

Sure, Sharon Stone has a right to express herself as a cold hearted bitch. You want to defend her right to free expression, fine. But don’t turn around and get all indiganant when other people, by the very same right, express their shock, outrage and disgust at her.

But you have to blame the Major Corporations on why so much produce is being imported from China and the Far East. They have closed all the US production plants to go to China to have the products produced their using cheaper labour and overheads therefore increasing the corporations profits, but i suppose that is the Chinese peoples fault as well.

Are the Chinese to blame for the US genetically modified cows, which in turn make gentically modifed milk, which is drunk too much by gentically modifed kids, who go out and buy gentically modified guns and shoot innocent gentically modified etc etc and it goes on and on, or is this just Karma working again.

To be honest as well, talk to your pet food companies. Ask them to stop using China-made ‘tainted’ pet food. See what reply you could have. Just stop buying those pet food, will you? And at this moment, you just instantly think about your beloved pets. Tell a truth, in or after any big natual disaster, humans have to kill their ‘beloved’ pets so that their ‘beloved’ pets won’t bite them. Will you let them to treat you as pet food?

Back to the topic, no matter what Sharon Stone think about Chinese goverment or Chinese. She should not throw such a speech in public that hirts those victims, who lost their beloved sons, daughters, parents, etc.

To be honest, the Chinese earthquake, while it unfortunately has taken the lives of many innocent people, will give the Chinese population as a whole an opportunity to experience the same feelings that pet owners in the US felt whenever their beloved pets were ill and died from the tainted pet food. .

Please quit beating up Sharon Stone – she expressed an opinion, and in this country, freedom of speech still exists ……today……
